Play Faster

Time to work on your picking technique. Try this little lick here.

Now try playing along with this. It's 100 BPM. BPM stands for Beats Per Minute, it's how you measure how fast or slow a piece of music is supposed to be played at.
BPM=100

Now a little bit faster.
BPM=120

That's right, it gets faster.
BPM=140

And faster....
BPM=160

And faster...
BPM=180

Are you still there?
BPM=200

Oops, my drum machine only goes up to 250BPM!
BPM=240

That's alright, I can play twice as fast with 140BPM! Here we go!
BPM=280

Man, that's pretty fast. I don't think I can go on much longer...
BPM=320

Anybody still there?
BPM=360

Fine, this is my limit. I give up!
BPM=400

Well, you get the idea. Get yourself a metronome and practice playing something at a speed that you can handle. Then pick up the pace little by little until you can't handle it. Now you know your limit! Keep rockin'!
